Intensive funding and reporting requirements are common for grant funded nonprofits in the Bay Area. Many of these funds are reimbursable contracts with specific allowed expenses that vary funder by funder. This requires complex restricted fund tracking knowledge and grant reporting savvy. We help our clients to set up systems, interpret contracts correctly and feel at peace knowing their reports will be accurate.
Since California's nonprofit audit threshold is $2m, many of our clients end up having to go through an independent audit. We have relationships with several wonderful audit firms in the Bay Area. Oftentimes our new clients are using an auditor that we're already on a first name basis with. This helps tremendously during audit time since we are familiar with their approach, their GAAP interpretations and expectations.
